I forget which interview he was speaking in, but if I remember correctly, he said that the drone might have been gathering intel on Russian troop locations within Ukraine.
Both indicated they were likely gathering intelligence on Russian military installations in Crimea yesterday. Hard to say - those bad boys can hear a pin drop at 10k meters up. I worked on the predecessor navigation and imaging systems. They are pure targeting and attack drones, in my opinion.
No assumptions here. Before the second fighter jet approached the drone, the propellers can be clearly seen as undamaged. As soon as the jet passed, you can see the bent propeller.
